Brass Lantern in Aurora

I loved the atmosphere, very quaint. Staff was very efficient. Our waitress was the only one but she was holding her own making sure everyone was alright. Hostess came a few times also asked if we needed anything. The food was very tasty. Portions were perfect. Not too much & not stingy either. I loved the salad bar. Very nice over all.

One of the best dining experiences i have ever had. I ordered the chopped steak and it was absolutely delicious! i mean eyes closed delicious! The service was just as great as the meal. Everyone was nice and attentive. The atmosphere was wonderful.

This place was amazing. From service, appetizers, wine to dinner. The whole experience was worth every dollar! Would highly recommend the bison T bone and stuffed mushrooms

They have the best French Onion soup! We ordered the bison steak and one with an added lobster tail for $12. The salad bar is lovely and so was their dessert! We tried the candied bacon creme brulee which was interesting although I liked the plain version better. They're closed from 1st Jan until the weekend before Valentine's.

Two stars because my food was very good yet inexpensive and the servers did a great job. Yet the inside is very dark and has an older musty smell, yet it is a historical building. My concerns were the cleanliness and food safety. There was no soap in the restroom but they refilled it once I said something. It does make you wonder if any workers might have not washed their hands. Menus were being placed on top of silverware. There was a dirty plate with crusty food on the stack of plates at the salad bar and my water glass was not clean. The staff was aattentive to these things but I'd challenge the owner to consider experiencing their restaurant as though they were a customer from time to time and not letting having owned a place for so long lull them into complacency. Lots of potential in this place.

On a little get away with my husband and had the best experience here! First the inside is beautiful. I love the rustic/antique/cottage look. It's feels so cozy and laid back here. Make sure you look at times cause they're only open a few days a week, but it's not summer yet. We started with the Duck Wontons and they where amazing!!! I had the Mahi Mahi and the pieces of fish were moist and delicious! Waitress and manager where very attentive! This is a MUST STOP!

Service was 5 star! Filet and lobster 5 star! Atmosphere 5 star! Salad bar at this nice of a restaurant...wth? I proposed to my wife here 35 years ago. So happy it was still here for our 33rd anniversary. Great place with great memories.

The food was great. Feel free to dress casual, we was over dressed.

We go to the Brass Lantern every chance we get. Great Steaks & prime rib!Love the atmosphere , servers & owners.Have never been disappointed .Always take out of town guest here and they are amazed with the quality of the food and hospitality .Keep up the good work.
